The Most Dramatic Podcast. The Most Dramatic Podcast the.

Speaker 2:

Most Dramatic Podcast, the Most Dramatic Podcast Yet, yet, yet, yet, yet yet.

Speaker 1:

Hey, everyone, welcome back to the Most Dramatic Podcast yet. I am one of your hosts. I'm Paul Constable and I'm joined by Crystal Bartelsi.

Speaker 2:

Good to be here. Nice to see you, Paul, in your maroon sweater.

Speaker 1:

Thank you very much and remember I brought your little friend little.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I wish everyone could see this. Paul is such a good co-host. He is holding up a little rubber ducky to honor Braden with his dangly rubber ducky earrings that I love so much.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and I have a surprise. I was hoping it would arrive by today, but there's a surprise coming for our next podcast.

Speaker 2:

I cannot wait, and I cannot wait to talk about Braden, but we're going to start with our quick recap of the Golden Bachelor. Just such a great show. I can't say it enough. I'm absolutely loving this show so much. We begin with 12 women who are left. It gets really moving quickly, isn't it? Paul?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, not a lot of those are just. They're fantastic. They just cut to the chase.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I'm surprised that the whole Bachelor Nation, whatever the producers, aren't like oh my God, we should really do this for all episodes. We can wrap this up in an hour. Of course they're going to milk it, but yeah, even 90 minutes.

Speaker 1:

I mean I'm watching Survivor in 90. It doesn't feel as extended as another hour of TV does, but anyways.

Speaker 2:

So I love this group. I think we have April, susan Kathy and Nancy Askin' Askin'. Yeah, they form a little group. They're sort of just a little cohort, I think they just think they're all fabulous and they just kind of like to gossip and talk about things Would you like us to be CP or PC?

Speaker 1:

Probably not PC, so we're CP.

Speaker 2:

It doesn't have that great of a ring to it. I mean, we can think of something.

Speaker 1:

CBPC or PCCB? No, no, that's getting better, that's getting better.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just our gossip back and forth. We are a cohort, paul. We just have this strong bond from discussing this every week. I don't even know if we need a special name. We're just special, without a name.

Speaker 1:

It's amazing how much more I think about you while we do this. Because there's like my football podcast even talked about the Golden Bachelor. Because there's a You've probably even heard of Bill Belichick. He's the coach of the New England Patriots. He and Tom Brady were. They were a dynasty together. But now they're saying, without Brady, they suggest that he should do a Golden Bachelor himself because he just also broke up with his girlfriend. So they said, well, what if we put him on? And they were like they all went I would watch that show. I would watch Bill Belichick trying to find love, because he's 71 as well.

Speaker 2:

Oh, he's 71. I didn't know that thing. I have to say I don't watch football, but you'd be surprised I do recognize a lot of the names. I like to just try and keep up with what's going on, even though I don't know a lot about football. But anyway, okay, so I've really fine. I think it's Kathy. Kathy is a bit of an instigator and a bit of a shittesturber, I would say. Without her I think all the women would get along. But we're going to get to that because I saw sort of this meaner side to her.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you and the rest of North America.

Speaker 2:

We begin with this group date and it's a talent show, but who's there? Caitlin Ritzo? Yes, I thought it was right, and who has her autograph? Yes, Paul has her autograph, and Paul still has a bottle of wine that we need to share. Is that wine even good anymore? Like we need to make this happen.

Speaker 1:

We'll make it happen. It's wine. Caitlin would never put her name on something that wouldn't age well.

Speaker 2:

Now, I know we shouldn't talk about this, but what did you think when you saw her?

Speaker 1:

I'd like to hear Actually I thought she looked good. I actually did think she looked good. I'm always fascinated by the whole Bachelor Nation celebrity and that they just suddenly show up and they're there, and so I always want to know what goes on behind the scenes. Whose agent's calling who? How are they figuring it out? Because even on the guy who the former host, chris Harrison's podcast remember you put me onto that and I'm one of them he's like some of these people come up to me and they tell me I'm going to take your job someday or they're trying to get jobs that I should have, and I thought of him talking about that and I thought about how there has to be people going. Oh, why does Caitlin get to be on Golden Bachelor? Not me, but I think she's good TV Like. She's got a fun personality and she plays well with others, you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I thought she actually looked really good too and I always enjoy seeing her. I did have a quick moment just because Gary's so sweet, but I had this moment where I thought that Gary was maybe like why couldn't she have been a contestant? You know, I'm sure he would love that. But yeah, it's nice that they bring someone with that, I guess, celebrity status to the Golden Bachelor. I'm sure we're going to see a few more people as well, and Jesse Palmer's there at the same time Like a rare.

Speaker 1:

I had this vision. Now, maybe the reason we don't see Jesse Palmer in Bachelor in Paradise is because he's constantly flying back and forth between the two Like they were actually filming them at the same time. That's my. I know it's not true, but he's just like I've got to get on a plane and go to a beach, and then he's like, oh, I've got to go to this talent show. So that's what we don't see him.

Speaker 2:

You know what I think we should do next time a new season starts. We should almost have like some kind of data or stats where we should actually time how much error time Jesse gets, Because he's barely in it. We talk about this week after week, but he's hardly in any of the shows. He's actually a bit more.

Speaker 1:

But I agree with him. We should move on, because we talked about how we have to like get on with this. We've got a lot to cover.

Speaker 2:

Anyway, they have a competition and we just got to say that all these women, you know, they're a little bit nervous. Some of them have skills that they feel confident that they can perform, but a lot of them don't know what to do. But we have, like a comedian, that Kathy does some push-ups, we have karate and of course we have Leslie, the former Prince dancer, yes, and she does this big dance that gets even a little bit sexual. It's almost like she's giving Gary a lap dance.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

And then everyone thinks she might win. But then we have a whole profile on Joan, who's not a performer, very nervous, and she decides to just read a poem that she wrote.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and in my real estate agents weekly meeting we have this two minutes with Maxwell guy. He's just kind of guy talks like this this is what you need to do. And today, this week, I want to talk about being vulnerable and I think she may have like seen that video if you wouldn't know, but like it shows you that being vulnerable can make you attractive. But you know, in this case we were talking about with your clients. But I think, just in general, when you're truthful with someone and you just say, hey, this is how I'm feeling, this is why I'm here, and this will come up later on in the bachelor in paradise when we can see Do you think cat was vulnerable at all in bachelor paradise? Just stay tuned to see what we think about that. But Joan, if I can say it, joan ends up getting the rose and having a lovely little like dinner with Gary after this group date. She's the one that gets to kind of go one on one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, and she's actually a really lovely woman and up until this time I didn't really recall who she was. You know, she wasn't really sort of a main character on the show, but she's a lovely woman. She goes on a group date. They really have a strong connection. But she does share with Gary that her daughter has just had a baby, I think 15 days prior, so that she gave up a lot to be here and then even though baby to be an also jump ahead is almost as old as how long it's been that Sam couldn't poop Like.

Speaker 1:

she was nine, 10 days and the baby's 15.

Speaker 2:

So a long time.

Speaker 1:

There's a lot of similar babies and timelines. Joan, last week I got confused. She was. She was the one sitting on the bed who had a very, also vulnerable conversation. They both talked about having lost their spouses, you know, and I think they connected over that last week as well.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I thought that was somebody else, wasn't it.

Speaker 1:

I think it was Joan.

Speaker 2:

I thought it was Nancy, but I could be wrong.

Speaker 1:

He talked about, unfortunately, people losing their spouses with a couple.

Speaker 2:

So well, let's be honest, a lot of them have lost their spouses, so I think I'm just having a hard time. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no no, we won't, we won't try and Anyway. So they have this wonderful date and then Gary kind of leaves the night, thinking Joan could be a front runner. Yeah, joan gets a phone call from her daughter, which I understand. I think it's her daughter who needs her back at home, needs Needs her mom there to help her with her newborn and all this stuff. So Joan makes a really difficult decision to go and be a parent and to leave and has to break Gary's heart by telling him that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm calling this right now because I wrote I want Joan to come back. I thought I really liked her and I thought they had a really strong connection. She might be the first golden bachelorette, perhaps.

Speaker 2:

Oh wow, you know what? I haven't even thought that far ahead. That's really good.

Speaker 1:

I literally just came up with it in the moment.

Speaker 2:

Or it could be severe drama where, just as Gary's getting down to his final two, they bring down back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I think they didn't have a grand baby with her grand baby, yeah, and the hopefully not the poo baby. But we'll get to that. Um, I should stop. So I, my God, we're going to talk so much poo later.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know, I know. Um, yeah, I felt bad, um, uh, I did write that he gave her some lovely earrings.

Speaker 1:

I think. Oh no, this is later on.

Speaker 2:

Uh yeah, oh yeah, you're yeah that's something Okay, so no, so then, so anyway, it's very sad because, Gary, he's so sensitive and it breaks his heart and yeah anyway, then, uh, he's sad, but but what I like about him is he goes right ahead, he goes. We got to move on. Yeah, Like I'm ready to move forward because, he's aware that there's other lovely women for sure. Uh, I also think, and I just want to say one more thing on Joan.

Speaker 2:

Had to say that. I just want to say one more thing on Joan. Had Gary really really thought this is the one you know, of course it's the TV show I get. We got to keep going. But he could also say no more filming, no more continuing, I'm going home with Joan as well.

Speaker 1:

Right, yeah, or who knows what that kind of like locked-in contract is, to that they have to go through with it. So, no matter what, it still makes for a great story if on the very last night, he's on the couch pulling one of those moves where he's like I still have feelings for Joan and this poor seven-year-old Woman's, like I literally invested everything in this and now I have nothing but your favorite, claire.

Speaker 2:

She did leave after a few weeks with her, with her hunk back, that's true.

Speaker 1:

Actually, yeah, yeah, claire, she's one of my 17 favorites on the show, but yeah, I don't know what that word, so she, I want to get to my earrings. He goes out with Ellen on a one-on-one date, sorry.

Speaker 2:

No, that, yes, let's get to the earrings, and it's one of those. It's one of those fantasy dates that every woman would love, because Michael Costello arrives. No fans, I didn't know who Michael Costello was.

Speaker 1:

No, no relation to Elvis Costello, I guess.

Speaker 2:

But he brings out all these dresses and Ellen gets to pick and Ellen's kind of quirky and you know I like her personality.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, she seems kind of like More I think of well you know what. This is the thing I think people expect Elderly people to be sort of like Ellen and they forget that there are multiple personalities of elderly women. But we all put them in this kind of like grandma stereotype which I think she's sort of fit this nice older woman who's probably minds are peas and cues but will Make you a pie when you show up for Thanksgiving holidays. My joke about the earrings was I was hoping there would be rubber duckie ones. That's why I'm trying to go back.

Speaker 2:

I had a. You're trying to get there. That would.

Speaker 1:

That would be amazing a little bit incredible yeah.

Speaker 2:

They were these gorgeous diamond ones. I just want to say this though However we go from, this is, this is when I think, paul, the show is moving a little too quickly, because there's a moment Gary goes on the date with Ellen. This is, you know, she's in this beautiful dress, he's about to present her with the earrings, but he does say I really like Ellen and her personality, I just don't know if I can get there romantically right. And then, literally 30 seconds later, he gives her the ropes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true, that is true, yeah and I just went.

Speaker 2:

How did we get from there to there? Like we didn't see them have really romantic conversation, a kiss it just. It just sometimes jumps a little too quickly.

Speaker 1:

That's fair. I did like their hot air balloon. A hot air balloons make me nervous because I don't like heights, but I thought that one. It only seemed to be like a hundred feet or so off the ground and like a field. I thought I might be able to even handle that level of height.

Speaker 2:

So I gotta tell you I have always wanted to go on one of those, so maybe we could, you know, try something maybe we record it.

Speaker 1:

We record a podcast from a hot air balloon and it's just me going. Are we done? Can we get down now? Can we get down now? Is that we done?

Speaker 2:

We'll stay low. We'll stay low to the ground.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I would love that. That'd be lovely.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that would. That would be great. Okay, stay tuned for our hot air balloon podcast. Okay, so then now we've got Ellen got the rose, joan got the rose, but she had to leave and then have this whole thing with Kathy starting some drama. So Kathy feels that Teresa is bragging a little too much about her connection. Yeah and I just want to say what? What is your take on this? I'll tell you mine, but I actually want to hear yours.

Speaker 1:

How, what's what? I found Kathy kind of fascinating for the first few episodes. She to me always. I can't remember what her actual job is, but she seems to me like a judge you'd be standing in front of. She has got a very stern look about her. She even reminds me a little bit of my own grandmother who, could we, she would. We would say she doesn't suffer fools gladly. You know what I mean. She could be quite stern, but she also got very emotional Because she thought Teresa was saying these mean things. Like Gary and I have a strong connection, our date went so well she's saying that woman needs to like shut up and not talk about it, and she gets tearful and Vulnerable, as we were saying, but then uses that energy to then, I feel, attack Teresa and tell her you know enough is enough, which then of course makes Teresa vulnerable and upset. I'm more team Teresa in the long run than that team Kathy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, me too. I think Teresa is just very sweet. I think she's oblivious to what she's doing. I think she doesn't really understand and I think she is just trying to be honest and connect to the women, and I don't. I don't think she sees it as bragging and, to be fair, they're all kind of talking about their their dates. Like after Ellen comes back she goes on about what a lovely time she has, right.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, and I mean even later on. There's a point where Jerry Sorry, gary goes in and Jerry I like Jerry, jerry, jerry, jerry, seinfeld shows up. What's the deal with all these older women? They, she just says he came into the bedroom and talked to me and she goes he was in the bedroom with you and he she goes yes, and she says that's the kind of stuff you need to keep to yourself and I'm like they didn't, it wasn't the boom boom bedroom.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know they were getting nude and rolling around in the sheets, I know like.

Speaker 1:

Kathy's got issues I did like. At one point one of the women referred to the place in the house is the foyer, which I still call it a foyer, but I love that she just used foyer. No one like says foyer, foyer, we're going to the veranda, like it. We just say, yeah, I was out there, I was in the hall, I was out on the front room and like we don't have those rooms anymore.

Speaker 2:

You know I I do love, though that Gary now I almost called him Jerry, but Sorry he does go talk to Teresa in the bedroom. But what makes me laugh is the background. Like they're all in bunk beds. Like I just don't think it's funny that they put Bunk beds.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I my last cruise. I went on. Originally it was gonna be myself. Well, we did end up all going my dad, son and I but we were gonna share a room with my son and I. We're gonna have to sleep on bunk beds and I just called the cruise back, was like I can't do this, get my son and I a room.

Speaker 1:

I can't do a bunk bed, I'm no like you there, you draw a line at a certain age, you're like yeah, I mean, if we were camping, you know, and we were on like some crazy hike and I've been to like a New Zealand we had this great Log cabin that you hit and you had to sleep in and it was all bunk beds and I didn't sleep well cuz the snoring.

Speaker 2:

But hey, paul, this kind of stuff, you bragging about your travels, oh you need, you need from the girl who's been to Europe two summers in a row, like come on.

Speaker 1:

I just your name kitchener, am I right?

Speaker 2:

You're right, I get around, I get around you like to, always on the go. Okay. So now we're at the rose ceremony. I think Teresa feels she might not get a rose because Gary is a little bit disappointed in Teresa. He totally did take Kathy's side. But he hands the roses out and then I think we're at Eight women are left now because I don't think they re-roased when Joan left.

Speaker 2:

You're right. So either I think there were eight women left or something, but because we lost one, we're down to seven or eight now. Yeah, and we sent Edith and Christina home, plus Joe.

Speaker 1:

I just wrote Edith. I thought was attractive like a silver fox kind of looks the long hair. She was the one that had the silver, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Nice voice yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and Christina, in all honesty, if you the old, I don't really like the gun to the head expression, but if you did, I'd be like I don't. I've never seen this woman before in my life.

Speaker 2:

I'm with you on that. I didn't know who she was either she's just a stunt.

Speaker 1:

She was probably like I'm on this show. Yeah, maybe it was background and they just need. They need another.

Speaker 2:

Now I just as we move slowly on to Bachelor in Paradise. We do have a nice transition, because we end Golden Bachelor with I can't think of her name, the one that looks like Chris Jenner.

Speaker 1:

Oh Okay, I don't even want it. Steph, I think that's Stephanie okay.

Speaker 2:

Susan, yeah the end with Susan doing everyone's hair and what we learn is that Susan has a lot of gas.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it smells like meatballs or something or meatloaf. I.

Speaker 2:

Don't, I didn't need to go into that detail but we're gonna get into the.

Speaker 1:

We're getting into the shit really like there's it's. Are you ready?

Speaker 2:

I'm ready. So that's our bachelor, or Golden Bachelor, moving on to the beach.

Speaker 1:

Now, here we got I want to say to you is I'm gonna go back to that show, special forces. It was Tyler Cameron who's on special forces, not Tanner, because when Tanner shows up I was like that's not the guy, so he thinks. Tyler I like Tyler's, the real good-looking one and he yeah, I think he's former NFL too and he looks amazing on, or maybe he played college football.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, he's. He's ridiculously, good-looking.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I was like, don't wonder, this guy looks good.

Speaker 2:

Still on it.

Speaker 1:

I've only seen the first two episodes. I have to get caught up, because I was my son. Oh, and Shout out to if, just because we need more reality, f-boy Island Monday nights on city TV. Have you watched F-Boy Island?

Speaker 2:

now I keep seeing the previews, obviously, and they're like I can't believe I'm saying this call, but there is a moment where I have to just draw the line right alright. Like I, because it's just gonna suck me in and I'm trying to watch other things and I'm just behind in my life in general.

Speaker 1:

So I think I'm gonna have to maybe give that a pass, although I'm just gonna tell you, if you watch it once, it's kind of like you know what it, you know how people go sober for a month. You have to do Like F-Boy Island. I'm not watching it for 30 days because you won't.

Speaker 2:

Once you have one episode, you'll want them all okay, okay, I guarantee by next week you're gonna say you're missing out on F-Boy Island and I'll say I gave in, I watched it.

Speaker 1:

I guarantee we caught up, we'll be caught up, all right, so on.

Speaker 2:

All right, so our number one word for Bachelor in Paradise is vibing vibes. We hear it like everyone, especially Sean is always talking about who's vibing.

Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something in this you can talk about later. But I went to see my Reiki therapist and did some sound therapy and I've viped into another dimension on Friday. That's not a joke. Well, we can talk about that later.

Speaker 2:

I just want to say I don't know what I'm more shocked about Braden and Kat's breakup or that you do Reiki and then I went to another dimension, like I.

Speaker 1:

It was insane. Okay, I just I didn't know you did Reiki, it's okay, there's so much, there's so many layers to Paul Constable.

Speaker 2:

I know most.

Speaker 1:

Most of them are shallow, but everyone out.

Speaker 2:

Then there's a what else do I not know about you? I thought I knew it all, but every week you seem to surprise me. Okay, so we have Tanner who arrives. Tanner again, very good-looking guy, I'm gonna just say it, not my type, like again, I'm just gonna say universally good-looking guy, just just not my vibe.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you will. I mean, if you look at, even if you take away, I think and I think we do end up both be being on team Braden by the end of this I can get why you like a Braden who's got an interesting look, a unique look like you know, versus a Tanner which really comes from Hollywood casting. That's why I thought he was Tyler, you know, although I think in the end Tyler's Got more sex appeal than Tanner.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, I'm just never. I'm not ever into the clean cut. Perfect. I just never. That was just never my style. Okay, so all the women are Drilling the moment Tanner arrives. So, even though there are certain couples that have formed on the beach right now, all the women forget who they're with in this current moment and just start drooling over.

Speaker 1:

Actually cat.

Speaker 2:

Yes especially Jess. Yeah, who is who's hooked up with Blake?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so sorry man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah now, I just got to say even.

Speaker 1:

You, just, you just missed that. So.

Speaker 2:

I know, because I forgot to tell you and I should have taken a photo. Last Sunday, paul, I did drive, oh, like about 30 seconds away from African Lions Safari. As I waited at that intersection, I thought of you.

Speaker 1:

Thanks.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so I just got to go, even though I'm gonna get on team Braden. There was just a moment where I was like Braden, what are you doing? He was sitting by the pool. He's already kind of in this funk be alright and he's got that big scarf over his head.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, no, I wrote, I said the same note. He goes into a downward spiral and a need to wear scarves.

Speaker 2:

Hey, and it's just moments like this where I'm like Braden, like we all want to like you, we all want to support you, and then you just do a small thing and, and you know, I don't know if I'm on your team anymore. The rubber, ducky earrings, the scarf on the head, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Okay, but cat, sorry. Tanner goes and talks to a couple of the women and then he asks this is where we get into big drama. He asked cat right away to go on the date. Yeah, missing a beat. She says yes without even looking at Braden, without even talking to Braden, and they were very tight.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, you can. We could do a whole episode on the cat Braden experience and just talk about Cats behavior prior to it, cats behavior during the Tanner date and then cats behavior to Braden later, which we will get to.

Speaker 2:

But it's your take, like do you think she's a horrible person?

Speaker 1:

Delusional yeah, well, they kind of they hinted at this early on whenever they showed. Cat was like sitting on Stairs and she's like there's a bug. There's a bug around me, like. She has that princess type personality, that like and also that personality of I don't feel like I need to apologize to you because I'm telling you what I did and now you're turning it on me Like she does something horrible and then says why are you mad? Yes, yes, I went out with Tanner, so why are you mad at me? I just told you it's over. So why are you mad and you're like? Because I gave you a rose, because you led me on Cause. Well, I didn't. That's your fault for thinking I did that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, she did not present herself well in any moment of this episode, and all I have to say is like if Tanner wants to go for that, I'm like go for it. But don't be surprised like three months down the road when you have this horrible experience of well cats a bit much.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I just feel bad. We feel bad for Braden, because what we learn about Braden in this episode, I think, is you know, he was such a douchebag on charity season and none of the guys liked him and I think he was kind of playing the villain the role and I bet the producers had something in it. But now we learn he's actually a really sweet guy. He is a one woman guy. Like when he has his mind set on a woman he's actually you know, he's really into and he was really into cat he saw I mean again, it's a little too early, but he did see his future with her. He was falling in love with her is what it sounds like. And what I also like is that all these guys now like Sean that was on charity season. They were like I can't believe I'm saying this, but I like Braden now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I think that you know, even for me it helped me get on team Braden, because maybe I was even just thinking of my own self, of being a performer going through high school, going through university. There's times when you want to be a peacock and you show your feathers and you show your feathers a little bit too much, you know what I mean Like, and you brag and then you kind of realize, oh, maybe I'm, that isn't who I am. You know, maybe I'm not this, but I think we've all been there. And if we're on a, if I'm on a hit TV show, I'm 24 years old and everyone's telling me I'm hot stuff and I and people are telling me I'm funny, I would be, I would be playing into that, you know. So yeah, and I mean there's still women out there that would, even when he was doing that, would still be team Braden, you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So anyway, it's just, I think it's really bad form that Kat doesn't even talk to Braden. At least she could have had a conversation and said listen, I still really care about you, I really like you, but I just want to, you know, be open to any opportunities. I'm going to go on this date with Tanner. Then I think that would have at least calmed Braden down a little bit. But she doesn't even talk to him at all, and then the mo, it's like she forgets who Braden is. And then the moment she goes on a date with Tanner, she's just so smitten she never even mentions Braden.

Speaker 1:

No, no, she. We even get a scene where they're kissing in the ocean and we get the famous black dot Cause. I guess that bikini was a little too revealing at one point.

Speaker 2:

Oh, and I thought they were going to like end up in the boom boom room.

Speaker 1:

The boom boom ocean, Like I think. You know, I don't know if that helps global warming or hurts global warming, but something happened in that water.

Speaker 2:

For sure. I also just want to say I think it just bothers me every time a couple goes on a date and they're horseback riding. I just find it so awkward.

Speaker 1:

I think horses along the beach is kind of nice, but I'm not. I'm not going to fall on my sword and tell you why like to defend it.

Speaker 2:

No, I love horses and I agree with you, along the beach would be amazing. I just find always they put I mean, it's just again the way they construct it, but they always put a really awkward person on a horse and I'm just uncomfortable watching it.

Speaker 1:

That's true. I hear what you're saying. You know like.

Speaker 2:

Kat wore a skirt to.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Can you just tell them what they're doing? Can you just say what you're going to be doing on the date, so you can kind of dress appropriately for it? That's just my point.

Speaker 1:

I mean.

Speaker 1:

That's why we love this show, though, because even the week before it was the Will drama, where you know they go on the date, no one talks to each other, but Kat took it to a whole new level of just like bye, bye Braden, without saying it, body language, just doesn't even look at him, and then gets mad at him when she finds out that he's upset.

Speaker 1:

All it says to me in my own life because we even get to this later on with Will, we'll get to this, but your best move, I think, as a person, if you are hurt and you want to have any chance of maybe trying to get back, is to show strength in your moment of weakness, is to be your strong self and just be like hey, how's it going? I totally get it, that's awesome, and you have to distract yourself by finding something that you yourself like to do, whether it is just be like you know what this day learned, like I went to crap, I'm hanging out with Sean, we're going to learn a new, we're going to learn a card game, you know, or we're going to you know, I like the pushups. We should do those pushups on where we tap hands. I mean like you have, I guess, because I'm a man who's experienced a lot of like. Oh, I don't think that's going the way it's supposed to. You have to find ways to move on and be strong.

Speaker 2:

I. That was a beautiful speech, paul. That was very touching. I really liked everything you said. I think what the problem is on the beach and I, although I value everything you said is that you're always around people. You can't get away from them.

Speaker 1:

And then there's that great scene with Will where they're all the couples are on like those those lounge chairs, snuggling and then it's just him by himself in the middle of it and I'm like, why are you still out? But I would be like go to the bartender, even if it's that Mexican bartender we never see all the time. But you know like, if Wells isn't there, just do something else or just hang out with Sam. Sam seems to be more than willing to have some companies. He's in that toilet like 24 seven.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, okay. Well, we're going to talk more about Will, but we just need to address for a moment the most awkward conversation I've ever witnessed between Blake and Jess, when Blake said you know, yeah, he only eats birds, and Jess doesn't get it at all. And it was just so strange.

Speaker 1:

I love that. Blake said are you playing with me right now, Cause he was like you can't be this dumb. Really, it was what he didn't want to say.

Speaker 2:

I know, and he didn't even get that either. She just kept saying what do you mean? You eat birds? Like she couldn't even think about it. Yeah, yeah, anyway that was just if I were Blake.

Speaker 1:

I'd be like you know, I've enjoyed our time together, but we need to I think Blake is just there to help his own cause, cause probably when he goes out and people are like oh my God, it's Blake, like I think Blake has a good time.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but I think, from what we've seen, katie comes back. Is that her name, the one that you got engaged to? Right, oh, yeah, yeah Coming she's coming down those steps soon. Jesus, my God, yeah, so that's gonna be something, okay. Meanwhile also yeah, so Tyler comes down. I did forget. So Tyler Norris is his name. I had to look this up, paul, because he comes down the stairs and then I know I recognize them. I can't remember who's season he was on who's the double double season?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was on Rachel and Gabby's Gabby's season but then I remembered he because he talked about it. He was on Paradise last year and then I couldn't remember what had happened, but he had hooked up with Britt.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

They were practically engaged. I don't think they got engaged, but they were really serious. And then it was all coming back to me after I looked it up. She was really mean, like she just ended the relationship, but she broke up over I don't know text or something like that, like, and then, also pretended she never had anything with him, like it was really.

Speaker 1:

This is where the miscommunication came, where they said you can't trust a Britt. But people took like out out on a whole country. Really, this is her one woman.

Speaker 2:

Now I also got to say this moment that surprised me was when Tyler comes down, he goes to talk to Rachel and Rachel is kind of nestled against Sean and then she leaps up, she goes oh my God, I've been waiting for you and I just think could you have maybe said that a little bit further away from Sean. That's not a very nice thing to say.

Speaker 1:

No, no, I think Sean, although, that being said, I think Sean is very aware of his and Rachel's relationship is pretty surface, I think.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like it's not. They're not really into each other, they're just kind of hanging it Like we've never seen them kiss.

Speaker 1:

No, no. That's why I like the only, the real, only jealousy I have of good looking people sometimes and by sometimes I mean 98% of the time is they just seem to sometimes go hey, we're both good looking, we should make out, and I had to develop a personality, and even then it's still work. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Okay, do you need to talk more? Are we in therapy right now?

Speaker 1:

No, no, no, no, no, we're not therapy. I went to another dimension. I will be fine.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so meanwhile, well, all this is going on. Yes, so Tyler talks. There's a lot happening all at once because they keep cutting to different things happening, but anyway, tyler talks to all these women. And then poor Will. Will has now hooked up with Mercedes. Mercedes is still playing it like she's into Will, but now Tyler wants to go on a date with Will. Oh sorry, I didn't date with Will.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you saw a different. Were you not on Citi TV? Were you on the? What channel were you on?

Speaker 2:

Oh, that would have been amazing, could you imagine?

Speaker 1:

And they talk about they talk about-.

Speaker 2:

But after all of that and everything Will's been through, this hot guy goes you go on a date and Will's just like sure, let's just go hang out.

Speaker 1:

That would blow America's mind, but I would be all into it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, but Tyler goes and takes Mercedes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

Which now Will is beyond crush, like he's just not having any luck.

Speaker 1:

No, although, that being said, will played Olivia right, like right from the start, although Olivia took that to a different level. I will defend Will a little bit, because she wanted him to suck her toes and she went all in very fast. But Will does as they say. Will just seems to find women that go out with other men eventually.

Speaker 2:

But if Olivia wouldn't have been so weird and mean about it, they could have maybe reconnected. But instead Olivia is now with Peter, who's the worst guy.

Speaker 1:

Peter is the worst guy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't. I mean, that's not a connection either. She's just playing him for the rose, okay, so, while this date is happening though, this is where we see this whole thing with Samantha- Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Sam, yeah. So it's nine days Sam's not been able to go and we just see her constantly going in and out of the toilet and people are always wondering where she is. But it's because she's spending all this time in the bathroom but nothing's happening. But then this doctor comes and talks to her. But I just have to ask you was there not a moment when you're like this can't be real. This is just so ridiculous. It was just the way the doctor was having this conversation, yeah no, I'd seen it even at one point.

Speaker 1:

he was trying not to giggle, you know like like. But then he talked about the size of poops he's seen and even she said how much did it weigh? And he's like I don't know. I only saw it on like the X-ray or something you know so like, and I was like we are talking so much poop, right, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know, and you know I was disgusting and I just have to tell you that I watched Bachelor in Paradise, but then I think I had about 10 minutes left or no, like at this part. I had to start watching and just catching up and I was just about to eat my lunch or something. And then I was like and I'm already really squeamish around any gross things while I'm eating and then I was like, why did I choose to watch this? Like I couldn't watch. But if you're listening to us, you can't see my hands. But I recall the doctor, like it was something like this.

Speaker 1:

Paul, when people see I kind of fish this big, yeah, yeah, no, it was.

Speaker 2:

Yes. But, how can that come out of somebody?

Speaker 1:

Well, if the intestines, you know they wrap around each other, right, so then it eventually comes out in one. I don't want to talk about this. They come up with the poop baby clock countdown, like the poop baby clock. Actually, I kind of enjoyed and I even made a note later where I was like I can't believe I'm writing this. But I want to know what's happening with the poop baby clock countdown, because she needs she needs to make a decision the next morning whether she wants to stay in the show or not. So they're counting down to like six am. The next day. You got to wake up and say do you want to go to the hospital and get this baby out of you or do you think you can handle it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, or could you think you'll be able to go, which, as Sam says, that's a lot of pressure to put on her.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's like, yeah, you have to.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, I think yeah, I yeah but the worst part is she has to go tell Aaron who is sort of her her love interest on the show. She has to go admit this and that's going to be so embarrassing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's, there's. I can't think of many lower moments. The fact that, like Sam, is going to be known as poo baby woman, like all I could think of is, if she had a manager or something, she could maybe sidetrack this into a commercial deal, like be the face of X lax or something, or metamucil, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. You know what I mean Something fibrous, but yeah, it's just, it's weird.

Speaker 2:

And then it kind of grows me out that Aaron brought her all that food.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I in my head I was just like get her some coffee and cigarettes and just see like what happens. You know like that's, but I don't know, you know.

Speaker 2:

So, anyway, we're going to see. So that's all happening. And then, of course, tyler and Mercedes are on this romantic date.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And we are in that Tyler's top choice of who he was hoping to see on Paradise was Mercedes, and Mercedes then admits that she was hoping to see Tyler.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, 100 percent for sure. I had a note about that. I'm so sorry I am. But when people say Maybe it's gone, I'm so sorry. But when they say something like who their top choice is, it's gone. Now I really apologize to the listeners out there. I'm having my own poo baby in my brain, like it's just filled with too many notes and I'm gonna and it might still be in this other dimension. I mean that dimension was cool, but yeah.

Speaker 2:

Okay. But here's the thing that was ridiculous with Mercedes and Tyler they see a shooting star, okay, and they take that as a sign for their relationship. It's fine, it's right, yeah, yeah. I'll go with them on this. But then they see a raccoon.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Kind of goddamn sign is that for your relationship?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, it's a bad sign. It's, I guess, because we're Canadian and we see our raccoons all the time, and it's usually they were annoyed because they're breaking into our bins and-.

Speaker 2:

We had one on our deck the other night.

Speaker 1:

He would not leave Like it took everything you know, and you and your husband still together. That's the only thing I know.

Speaker 2:

Yes, we're still together, but we do not like raccoons. I know they're cute. They were saying things, tyler and Mercedes, like wouldn't it be so amazing if he came and joined us at our dinner? Like they have no idea. I also have to say I was surprised that there is a raccoon in Mexico, just not an animal I would think would be in Mexico. Am I wrong?

Speaker 1:

I don't. Yeah, I was semi-surprised as well, but maybe we shouldn't be surprised that they're there, but I would have thought they were more northern creatures. But because of the fur and all like, I don't think you're gonna see a beaver or like a porcupine in Mexico, although I think they do have. Well, they have like armadillos and stuff like that.

Speaker 2:

Those kind of arm blooded creatures, but yeah, Okay, but anyway they come back.

Speaker 2:

They're now kind of a hot item, you know, and Will is gonna be very upset. But meanwhile let's jump back to. This is when Cat comes back with Tanner and Braden has been wallowing in his sadness. He's been hanging out on the lounge chairs with all the guys. All the guys are there to support him, and then we hear Cat come back. So Braden jumps up and he's like, oh my God, they're back. He really wants to hear from Cat. And Cat comes so tasteless, hand in hand with Tanner, makes her way down and still doesn't really say anything to Braden at first.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, 100%. She's sort of glowing with her Tanner date and wants everyone to see how happy she is. And the part that is kind of funny is Jess and Kylie actually pulled Cat aside and are like, just so you know, braden's very upset and other people are supporting him and your attitude right now might come across as negative, which, surprise, surprise Cat defends and gets angry about.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but even that, yeah, she gets so defensive and she doesn't understand why Braden could possibly be so upset. So then they go and talk and, yeah, this is the moment where Braden, he's not getting angry or anything, he's just saying I really liked you, I really cared for you, and she's getting so pissy. It's like I think she's delusional or something or she went to another dimension, because it's like she doesn't even remember any of what they had and what they experienced in the last I don't know a couple of days prior to Tanner arriving.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, I've seen personalities like this, where it's deflects any kind of attack at them by attacking back and by making the other person feel that they're just a fool for thinking that. Well, you're a fool, that if you thought this was going anywhere, you're a fool. That's not on me that you're stupid. Basically is what she's trying to say. Or it's not on me that you're wrong, even though they've done all this behavior to make them believe something different. Well, they were stupid for believing it in the first place, which, in a weird way, knowing having seen Kat, you're like, yeah, fool me twice, right, but we all. I think the interesting part, like you said before, sean is on Team Brayden, now you and I are on Team Brayden, and this is proof that if we can change, the world can change. It's like the end of Rocky 4, when the Russians cheer for Rocky.

Speaker 2:

Good analogy. I like it. I'm supporting Brayden all the way. I still feel bad for him, but I'm also excited to see what's to come, because this is where there's going to be a huge shift and he's going to start falling for someone else and, if I have my prediction, I don't know how we get there, but I think it could be, rachel.

Speaker 1:

For sure, yeah, no, well, they seem to have that energy on that.

Speaker 2:

After the final Rose show yeah, but up until this moment we haven't seen them have much interaction at all. And she's never said oh, by the way, brayden's cute, and he's never said oh, I also think Rachel's cute. We haven't heard or seen this.

Speaker 1:

No, no, I kept waiting for those clues as well. Kat did have a great quote. If you want to explain her whole point of view, which is just, this is really difficult for me too. I think, like it was just amazing, like she's like I think, like she doesn't know, she knows she has to mimic certain behavior and in her mind she thinks this will prove that I'm right, but instead she just keeps digging in her bigger, bigger room.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, so we don't like Kat. We don't know what's going to happen. We have to stay tuned for the poo baby and also.

Speaker 1:

Mercedes, just to kind of. Maybe she didn't. I didn't think she the way she handled Will was kind of like how are you doing? And he's like well, I'm not doing so great, and she's like but you seem fine, ok, great, I just wanted to see if she can do it. You seem good and his face is like I just told you I'm not good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, poor Will. I mean I think he might end up going home, or there's got to be a real miracle woman who walks down those steps. That is like my number one person I hope to see here as well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I don't think he's going to make it past the rose ceremony because they're just bringing in dudes.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Unless Olivia, for whatever crazy reason, decides to give him another chance. But I do like his eye tattoo, the one on his shoulder. He's got that really kind of cool eye. He looks good with tats. There's someone I you know how like some people do actually get tatted up and the artistry on the tattoo looks fantastic. Then you see some people it seems like they're random tattoo spots all over the. It almost is like you have to get the sleeve or you have to get full on look.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. No, I see your point. It does look good on Will. I just watched the Beckham documentary.

Speaker 1:

OK yeah, If you recommend.

Speaker 2:

So speaking of someone covered in tats, and a Brit. Yeah, and a Brit and just a beautiful man, god I'm. So team Beckham now, my God. Yeah, it's a highly recommend, and I wish Beckham would be on Bachelor in Paradise. Just want to say that.

Speaker 1:

Beckham in Paradise.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that would be something.

Speaker 1:

It would be Beckham in Bartelsian Paradise.

Speaker 2:

I think even my husband would support that.

Speaker 1:

I can't see why Isn't your husband British?

Speaker 2:

Yes, but he's Welsh, not English. I'm sorry, but we won't. We won't get into that.

Speaker 1:

It's from the United Kingdom.

Speaker 2:

Yes, you got it.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of, I keep forgetting. You know they sing. You know God saved the king. You know like it's like it's so weird after all these years of having a queen, and they say his majesty, and I'm like, oh yeah, right, we got kings. It's going to be kings for the rest of our lives unless they do something different. That's true. So it looks like, yeah, we will find out next week what happens with poop baby.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, this was a maker of hangar.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and did you like the final scene of her is lying on her bed rubbing her still tightly toned abs. The one thing we didn't talk about is do you remember how Jess kept talking about how she was bloated all the time? I'm in a one piece because I'm bloated and I'm like this will not get you the one on one date.

Speaker 2:

No, ok, yeah I'm. I can't believe we forgot to talk about that that I don't know why she's telling everyone Nobody else would have questioned why she was in a one piece. It doesn't matter. But I will say that about Sam, I'm just going to say I mean, when I'm bloated I look nine months pregnant. Ok, like, can we just talk about this. Yeah, so Sam not having gone in nine days and she still has a flat rock heart stomach. Maybe, she can't poop because her abs are so goddamn tight.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe. Yeah, I don't, I'm not a, a fitness expert or a, but I think you're right, I think you, that's is your thesis.

Speaker 2:

I just like I was like honey. If you're that bloated and you look that good, well you're lucky.

Speaker 1:

This will be my line to meet women at the gym. I'm going to say hey, I know you're working out hard, but don't work out so hard that you can't poop.

Speaker 2:

I did just see something about a woman who is a personal trainer and she said can men stop hitting on women at gyms?

Speaker 1:

So but that's not hitting on, that's, that's on, that's helping on. No, no, I, totally, yeah, no man, I, I. I remember they're also saying if you, if you and I, I'm with this woman, ninety, nine percent. I think there's always the weird odd, you know instance. But they also said it's best not to do it, like if she's say doing a bench press and your crotch is like at her face level and you're like, hey, you know just.

Speaker 2:

I'm here often yeah.

Speaker 1:

Fine, the right moments.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, no, I hear you, it's totally right, just the classic, just the classic, is this are you still using this treadmill?

Speaker 1:

That's, that's going to get you and this guy named John Henry shows up next week. I'm on that. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you're on. I don't know who that is.

Speaker 1:

No, no, he must have been maybe like a Sam, like a one and done kind of gone. But and he wants, he wants Eliza, that's the big thing. Who's with Aaron?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and we see that when he says Eliza, can I talk to you, or whatever, that Aaron just completely deflates and truth box. Oh, that's coming out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, truth box Maybe a tense, a tense week, and I think so. Golden Bachelor is going to be tense. We've got Kathy Teresa Going at each other and then next week it's all coming out and hopefully for Sam.

Speaker 2:

I heard it literally coming out. Just one question about Golden Bachelor. Are they going to be traveling, do?

Speaker 1:

you think? I don't. I think they're just going to like a bingo hall and like the lawn bowling bingo hall?

Speaker 2:

They're not. Are they going anywhere exotic? I can't recall seeing that in what's to come.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't think so. I don't think no, and they seem to be there. Is there, is that one hot tub with him and Susan. They're making out in a hot tub. Gary seems to be getting around like he's doing OK with these ladies.

Speaker 2:

There was one kiss he had, I think, with faith. And yeah there was, like there's a lot of times. Oh, well, well I just also just going back to your earrings for one moment, I do believe they were Neil Lane, were they not?

Speaker 1:

I probably, they probably were. I was so focused on my rubber ducky earring jokes that, like I was, I was gone for that I think I was just I think maybe I'm imagining.

Speaker 2:

I thought when he presented her the earrings it said Neil Lane. But now I'm like, did I envision?

Speaker 1:

that, but I thought so. Maybe that's how good his marketing is. Any earring, you see, you just see Neil Lane on it and that is that's amazing.

Speaker 2:

You know Lane needs to design dangly, ducky earrings like the diamond the diamonds.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, 100 percent. And also I mean we'll go to that Braden Rapp he did at the end of the thing by the pool. Did you watch that rap?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was pretty good he was pretty good. I was more focused on Jess, who just looks so uncomfortable and didn't know what to do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I thought she was just enjoying it. I thought she was more like blown away by how he could come up with those words so quickly. I give him credit. I thought his rap was was going to be M&M down on eight mile, but you know you don't need to convince me, I'm all over, braden, I'm all.

Speaker 2:

Even when I was watching I pointed out to my husband. I was like that's my guy, that's my guy yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, I hope he's OK.

Speaker 2:

I hope he's OK too. And I think it was we never, we never thought you and I would be saying this but go, braden, we love him.

Speaker 1:

We did not. This was not on our bingo card. But, like I said, if we can change, he can change, this world can change for the better. I went to another dimension. Everyone come on a journey with me and we will experience love together. And I will not hit on any women at the gym this week.

Speaker 2:

Thanks for going back and forth on this pleasure to see you. Thanks for listening everyone. We'll be back next week.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we'll see you in a hot air balloon.
